STATUS OF ORGANIZATION OF HEPATITIS TREATMENT WITH DIRECT-ACTING ANTIVIRAL DRUGS IN RIVNE REGION FOR THE PERIOD 2013–2023

Abstract

Topicality. The article highlights the state of research on the problem of treating hepatitis C with direct-acting antiviral drugs in the Rivne region for 2013–2023.Purpose of the work: to analyze the status of hepatitis C treatment with direct-acting antiviral drugs in the Rivne region for 2013–2023 Materials and methods. The work used analytical techniques of the epidemiological method, descriptive, statistical and graphical methods.The results. In 2020, 5.52% of patients with chronic hepatitis C received antiviral therapy with direct-acting drugs,in 2021 – 5.61%, in 2022 this figure was 4.3%, and in 2023 it reached 6.48%.During the period 2016-2023, 5432 patients with CHC were registered in the Rivne CML LDC, 1413 (26.0%) patients with CHC received a course of treatment with direct-acting antiviral drugs (generic drugs).The effectiveness of treatment was 97–98%.Lower rates of coverage of DAA treatment are observed among CHC patients in Zarichnenska, Radyvylivska, Goshchanska, Koretska communities.Conclusions. It was established that during the implementation of the State Program for the Treatment of Patients with Chronic HCV at State Funds and in order to implement the Global Strategy for the Elimination of Viral Hepatitis by 2030, 1,413 patients with HCV were treated at the ROLDHC of the KNP "CML" of the RMR as of January 1, 2024.In order to ensure the implementation of the measures of the strategy for the elimination of viral hepatitis C by 2030, it is necessary to systematically analyze the completeness of coverage of patients with HCV with DAA treatment in the region as a whole, as well as among individual communities and healthcare institutions.
